about

"I wanted to strike a nerve with people around the globe when I wrote the lyrics to the 3 songs on the new All Hail The Dark ep" says singer/lyricist Jack Sabolich of the Cleveland, Ohio Heavy Metal band Dead Earth. " I wrote the lyrics to All Hail the Dark while thinking of a trip my wife and I took to Salem, Massachusetts the very first of many trips we have taken there. I remember her asking me on our drive to Salem, what we were going to do about our families wanting us to have our newborn daughter christened into the Catholic Church? I told my wife  that I was ALWAYS drawn to the darker side of spirituality, and that I was really drawn to Witchcraft. We took that trip because we both wanted to learn as much as we could about the Craft in Salem because we were both drawn to it. It was a life altering experience for us, and we dove head first into learning as much as we could about Witchcraft. I learned how beautiful Witchcraft is, and how certain religions have defiled the beauty of it and turned it into a forbidden thing in order to gain power and control. I have also learned to embrace the dark and to not fear it. The intro to the song was from the movie Horror Hotel or City of the Dead and it's one of my favorite horror movies about a witch who put a curse on the fictional town of Whitewood, Massachusetts for trying to burn her at the stake for practicing Witchcraft. A dig at the part Hollywood plays at downplaying such a beautiful belief system".

lyrics

There's power in one
Knowledge is a gun
Don't waste your life
A slave to fright
Believe in yourself
Embrace the dark
Consumed in your mind
Don't follow the blind

All Hail The Dark
Confront your inner fears
All Hail The Dark
No more blood no more tears

You'll know the truth
It'll come to you
No longer a slave
To the god man made
Set free your mind
Open your eyes
There's more to learn
Your soul it yearns
